Kanye Taps Coldplay's Martin for New Album

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin may not seem the type to have mad hip-hop cred but then again, we never thought that Kevin Federline would have a higher appeal than his ex-wife-in-the-making, Britney Spears. But Mr. Paltrow is racking up just that, having guested on Jay-Z's 2006 comback album, 'Kingdom Come,' and with an upcoming appearance on Kanye West's latest effort, 'Graduation.'

Martin and West team up on the album's first single, 'Homecoming,' while 'Late Registration' collaborator Jon Brion (Fiona Apple) will make his return. "Jon wasn't just a producer," West told Billboard. "He was such a good friend and a great person to bounce ideas off of in the studio. It was the whole experience."

'Graduation' is tentatively due late this year.

The collaboration of Kanye and Chris in the music studio is a positive thing. Creative genius is just that and these two have it.

Chris Martin is this generations Madman Across The Water. Taste and class are his forte. Having songwriters such as Chris emerge are vital to the future of music. The old adage " Either youv'e got IT or you don't" holds true with regard to Mr.Martin.For he definitley has IT in spades. I for one can't wait for his next effort. Jarel Portman

Chris Martin also worked with Timbaland for Nelly Furtado's album, this comes as no shock to me.
