Young Buck's Sweet 16

Ooh, I am so excited! I've wanted to do a freestyle segment here for the longest and can't think of a better artist to debut it with than Young Buck.

I see why his verse on the 'Hate It Or Love It' remix was the hottest. He wrote his rhyme to a Mary J. Blige beat on the spot -- no pen, pad, or Hennessey needed. (Now, that's an MC!) Meanwhile, our friends at Black Voices hollered at him about Tony Yayo, Oprah, and more.

Watch '16 Bars' with Young Buck, flip through these behind-the-scenes photos, and let me know who you'd like to see step into the booth next.

I would like to see positive, artist like Anwar Superstar and his older brother get more exposure. There are a great deal of artist with talent, but the music does not get evenly disseminated to the masses. We who acknowledge that there are various genre's in rap must also concede that even though every genre is not positive and meant for cetain age demographics, it has in many cases provide cash flow for many would may have nevermade it any further than their favorite corner. While also irregardless for our personal taste, sadly dipicts the reality of what goes on in the underbelly of our cities. As some may chime in on this discussion to say whether or not they care for Bucks flow, the real issue behind this all is not the artist, its the label that hires the artist to tell his story, and the parents or ANY ADULT who bares witness to a child listening to inappropriate music, doing inappropriate dances to abruptly intervene and correct that child. We have become a nation of adult scared to address our children, what happen to the old adage that states "It takes a villiage, to raise a child" this reigned true in the past and is a relevant fact today. Think on it

It appears that the Imus theory has been proven correct? so does that mean that all of you with the negative perception of gangsta or thug rap have excused his comments? The guy makes the statement.. and now has caused this major disfunction primarily with the blacks, and he is probably sitting back laughing at the way we are carrying on about this... can't you see it??? we can call this rap whatever we want.. it's graphic.. disrespectful, and all of that. But just as we have freedom of speech... we also have the freedom to turn it off if we don't like it. I can almost guarentee that Imus does not sit back listening to "Thug rap". so he is going primarily off of what society has handed him.. meaning there is a very chance that he didn't hear a rapper say these derogatory words at all... basically creating his own premise of Thug rap.. and using it as his basis to use the terms. Let's get real here. The fact that Buck seems illiterate should be a testament to where these rappers are coming from.. and that they are a product of there environment. On the other hand if he came off with proper pronounciation and articulate we would feel as though he was a "Fake Gangsta". so when do we end our own hipocracy??? when does the race as a whole take responsibilty for our own ignorance... see the "N" word. we toss this word around like a hot potatoe... where were the Good reverends to stop this epidemic? The way I see it.. it's okay for us to use these negative words... but as long as knowone makes money off of it. We need to educating the race.. not censoring the rap culture.
