Justin Timberlake, Beyonce Lead MTV VMA Noms

Justin Timberlake and Beyonce lead the nominations for the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards with seven nods each, it was announced today. Following closely behind are Rihanna and Kanye West, who racked up five nominations a piece, while everyone's favorite wino, Amy Winehouse, earned three.

Super-producer-turned-artist Timbaland takes the reigns as the musical director for the event, which will take place in Las Vegas' Palms Casino Resort. Confirmed performances include Timberlake, West, Winehouse, Rihanna, Chris Brown, Fall Out Boy, Foo Fighters and Lily Allen.

Several new categories will make their debut in the 24th annual installment of the awards show: Male Artist of the Year, Female Artist of the Year, Most Earthshattering Collaboration, Monster Single of the Year, and Quadruple Threat of the Year -- an award honoring a jack of all trades (i.e. music, fashion, philanthropy, business, acting and dance).

justin timberlake isnt even cute is his style is SOOO ANNOYING and its boring looking at his videos. amy of course deserves an award and fall out boy is only famous for pete so screw them pete isnt even tht good too and their songs make no sense well you knw beyonce she alywas gets an award but come on beyonce.... dont lie to youre fans by saying you wrote the song its gonna piss off youre producer and kelly clarkso lose some weight get a fashion advisor and do something in youre life ok???? good

I dont care what anybody says about Justin or anyone of my genreation's music, it's terrible. Face it people, there is no originality or meaning. We need some more Bon Jovi and all of the good guys to come back. And by the way, Bon Jovi probaby has more records than Justin has sold. =] Just bring back the real music.

wow . . . first off let me just say that there are a lot of haters out there (get a life). it's okay one day you'll have your 15 minutes of fame. second off i would like to congradulate justin on his nominations. he's a hard working man and his album was on point. sexy back might have been a song that repeated the same things a couple times but hey that's how you catch your audience, he obviously knew what he was doing. Well, with all of these, where are the good artists? Besides Amy Winehouse and maybe Foo Fighters, these are just what you over-hear on the pop radio station. If Linkin Park's CD was so damned popular, where are they? Wait, I forgot. This is MTV1 we're talking about. Well, now I know what to avoid.

Hey I love justin timberlake and all the things that he does.He is like really Hot and he gets some cute girls.I mean I think mabee he should have staid in the band,but I guess he had to do what he felt was right.Personally Kelly Klarkson was better but whatever

What the hell? This year's nominations suck. They're the worst i've ever seen. All of the good categories were eliminated, and nasically, the awards will go to either Beyonce or Justin Timeberlake. It's so ridiculous. MTV just confirmed what we all know: they've got no taste in music. These awards should definitely go to groups much much more deserving. I'm definitely not watching the VMA's this year.

Honestly what's so great about Justin Timberlake? I mean I respect the man for breaking out of the whole boy band image (which can't have been easy because NSYNC spread like a mutant cancer) but come on, 7 nominations? It wasn't even that good! Sexy back was too repetitive and I barely heard of what goes around or whatever the hell it's called. I'm not going to be watching, this is just ridiculous.
