Coolio will star in Oxygen network's upcoming reality series, 'Coolio & the Gang,' which will feature the former rap star -- most commonly known for the hit 'Gangsta's Paradise' -- as he tries to juggle life as a single father.

"Oxygen likes to rewrite the rulebook for women and women's programming, and this show has a lot of inherent female appeal," Debby Beece, president of programming and marketing at Oxygen, told the Hollywood Reporter. "Coolio is a single dad raising kids, and it's got a lot of unconventional parenting aspects to it. He wants his kids to do as he says, not as he does."

'Coolio & the Gang,' which Coolio co-executive produced, is set to air in the spring.
