Da Brat Arrested in Atlanta After Nightclub Brawl

Da Brat was arrested early Thursday morning after hitting a waitress over the head with a bottle, at producer Jermaine Dupri's Atlanta nightclub, Studio 72.

According to Dekalb County police, the rapper, whose real name is Shawntae Harris, and the waitress got into an altercation resulting in a "deep laceration" on the 23-year-old waitress' cheek. The unnamed victim was taken to a local hospital.

This isn't the rapper's first run-in with the law. Da Brat was arrested in March of 2000, for allegedly pistol-whipping a partygoer at Buckhead hot spot Chili Pepper.

The rapper, who faces felony aggravated assault charges, is being held at the DeKalb County jail.

THIS IS CRAZY. WHAT HAPPENED BETWEEN THEM THAT MADE IT OK FOR THE BRAT TO HIT HER ACROSS THE HEAD WITH A GLASS BOTTLE. I MEAN IS IT THAT SERIOUS? I KNOW I WOULD SUE HER AND THE CLUB FOR THIS INCIDENT.
