Beanie Sigel spilled the beans during a court hearing Wednesday and was sentenced to one day in jail and six months in a halfway house. The rapper, known for getting into a mess of trouble, confessed to violating his parole -- for the second time -- when he took an unauthorized trip to Atlantic City, New Jersey, with a convicted felon. In accordance with the sentencing, Sigel was briefly jailed Wednesday. "I'm human, but I'm working on my mistakes," Sigel appealed to the judge. "I do believe that other people do get a chance to go back into society and do the work that they do."
The 33-year-old rapper could have been sentenced to three to nine months for the violation. Instead, Sigel will spend the next six months in a halfway house. Sigel, whose real name is Dwight Grant, has recently made attempts to clean up his act. He led an anti-violence march in his hometown of Philadelphia alongside Bill Cosby and lectured local high school students about staying in school.
