Say it ain't so. Michael Jackson, who's tried his hardest to mimic Peter Pan and never grow up, may get a huge dose of reality when his Neverland Ranch goes up for auction next month. The King of Pop owes more than $24 million on the Santa Barbara County property, and has less than three weeks to cough up the dough. Financial Title Co. filed the notice of trustee's sale with Santa Barbara County Superior Court, setting the auction date for March 19. If the estate goes to auction, Jackson could stand to lose all items presently on the property, including home furnishings.
The eccentric pop star no longer resides at the 2,500-acre estate. Jackson left Neverland -- and the United States -- and moved to Bahrain shortly after being acquitted of child molestation charges. Read the full story.
