Three NYPD detectives accused of killing 23-year-old Sean Bell, who was flooded with 50 bullets on his wedding day, were acquitted of all charges. The shocking verdict has sparked outrage among Bell's family and friends, as well as the New York community. While many have chosen to gather together and protest what is being considered an injustice, Constanza Francavilla, a Brooklyn resident originally of Rome, Italy, penned a song, titled '50 Bullets Fired in Queens,' as a reaction to the shooting. The trip hop song, which will be featured on her forthcoming album, 'Sonic Diary,' can be heard here.

"50 BULLETS" NEW SONG LAMENTS SEAN BELL DEATH
NEW EP "50 BULLETS" AVAILABLE AT: MYSPACE.COM/YARDMON50
New York, NY – April 14, 2008 There's a new Myspace page with a song titled "50 Bullets" about the killing of Sean Bell. The artist known as "Yardmon" says that the shooting was "a tragedy of Shakespearean proportions. For just like Romeo and Juliet, this young couple and their infant child were victims of society's contentions." While the song's theme is taken from the title, the message of the song is that the world should unite against hate. "Let 'dem dance a resistance to the beat of this song. For this song is an expression of outrage at the injustice/insanity of the situation. This song put's things in their real context. This song is prophetic in that it predicts an escalation of violence until the world honors human rights and human diversity. You need to hear this song," states "Yardmon." The artist states that the song is not necessarily political, but personal since he has experienced what police brutality is like first hand. The public is invited to visit the Myspace page (myspace.com/yardmon50) and download the song with a portion of the proceeds going to a special fund for the environment set up in Sean Bell's name.
