After what seemed like a quickie, impulse wedding in the Bahamas, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon are sharing the details of their private nuptials. "We really do feel we are soulmates," Carey tells PEOPLE. "I never felt a love like this was in the cards for me." The couple discuss their brief courtship and April 30 ceremony in the magazine's new issue.
This is the second marriage for the 38-year-old diva, who was married to music mogul Tommy Mottola from 1993 to 1998. Cannon was engaged to Victoria's Secret model Selita Ebanks, but the couple called off the engagement in October 2007.
The R&B diva's surprise union has created much media buzz, including a segment on 'The Oprah Winfrey Show.' The talk show host and media mogul admits to being stunned by news of Carey's wedding, but confessed that the singer did tell her about a tattoo on her back that reads: "Mrs. Cannon."

Are you serious about this nonsense? This marriage is destined to fail. 11 years apart, have known each other for only 2-3 months, get married and now suddenly what are the plans? Who lives with who? Tattoo's on each others body? Are we serious? Of course, any man who gets "MARIAH CAREY" on his body is a lucky man, whether it be a tattoo or the woman literally. I can't see how this is going to work: Her history is much more traditional and his isn't. He's been guilty of cheating once (Christina Milian), and was engaged 6 months prior to being married to Mariah. What is wrong with her? Something. I think Mariah needs to stay out of her Day Dream, fly like a Butterfly and find another Hero because a good one's Never Too Far Away.. sheesh.

I think every love deserves another chance. This marriage just like every other, will work as well as you want it to. It doesn't matter what he did or what she did before they got together.
