R&B diva Beyonce may have to go toe-to-toe with English singer-songwriter Amy Winehouse for the opportunity to sing the theme song for the 22nd James Bond flick, 'Quantum of Solace,' due in theaters October 31.
"I've done loads of Bond songs. There are loads of good ones I'm really happy with. I don't know what is wrong with them or what the problem is, to be honest. It's there, ready and done, and it's up to them if they want it or not, Winehouse told a newspaper earlier this week. On the other hand, producer Mark Ronson claims the embattled singer was unable to finish recording the track. "We did work on it, but we never finished it," Ronson said. "I don't think it will happen unless by some miracle it gets recorded and someone sings vocals."
The film is reportedly looking for a '60s-themed ballad, which the 'Rehab' singer has played around with since her debut. Media outlets are also reporting that former Destiny's Child singer Beyonce is the "firm favorite," considering Winehouse is still in the midst of some drama with reported drug abuse and pending legal issues.
