"'Straight Outta Southside' is crazy because we came up with that around the non-guilty verdict with Sean Bell," Tony Yayo said in a recent interview. "What's crazy about it is, Lloyd Banks got shot six blocks away from where Sean Bell got shot and my brother, too. It just goes to show you that it's real." Hailing from Queens, New York's South Jamaica area, G-Unit revamped N.W.A.'s 'Straight Outta Compton' for the tough tribute to Sean Bell, who was shot and killed by NYPD officers the night before his wedding day. 'Straight Outta Southside' touches on the Sean Bell murder as well as the shooting at Yayo's mother's house, but the crew makes sure to point out that these incidents don't just happen in their neighborhoods, but they occur all over the country. "It's not only affecting our hood, but it's affecting every hood," Yayo said. "We go through real s--- too and right now everyone is at a point where they're snapping and popping, [but] there's real s--- going on in our neighborhood."
