R. Kelly's defense team rested their case Monday after just two days and 12 witnesses. The Grammy award-winning singer did not take the stand in the child pornography case surrounding an infamous sex tape allegedly starring Kelly and an underage girl. The prosecution is expected to call two rebuttal witnesses today. Forensics expert Grant Fredericks will be called back to the stand to testify whether the defense's video expert Charles Palm could accurately testify that he could not see the questionable mole/dark spot. The prosecution will also recall Atlanta prosecutor Robert Wolf, who's expected to testify that the fiance of the prosecution's star witness Lisa Van Allen was not offered a deal in exchange for Van Allen's testimony.
Kelly is charged with 14 counts of child pornography. If convicted, the singer faces up to 15 years in prison.
