Former rap star Coolio was arrested early Tuesday morning on an outstanding warrant for driving with an expired registration and suspended license in Los Angeles. The 44-year-old rapper was released shortly after posting $10,000 bail.

Coolio claims the warrant was a mistake. "I had a warrant I didn't even know I had. I just got my license back like four months ago, so how the hell I still got a warrant from 2004? But this from San Bernadino; they make a few mistakes out there," the rapper said in a video on TMZ.com.

Last we heard, the 'Gangsta's Paradise' rapper was scheduled to star in Oxygen network's upcoming reality series, 'Coolio & the Gang.' The show will feature Coolio and family as he tries to juggle life as a single father.

'Coolio & the Gang,' which Coolio co-executive produced, was set to air in the spring and there's no word on the status of the series.
