The fact that Lil' Wayne and T-Pain appear on damn near everyone's tracks shows how much hip-hop today is about marketing, not creativity. There used to be a term called "selling out", and it was considered a bad thing.
What gets me about this track isn't that it's market-driven, contrived bullsh*t. The title is what gets me.
"Can't believe it"?
What's not to believe? The two biggest sell-outs in pop music (to call this crap hip-hop is an insult) decide, or more likely, their label reps decide, to put out a track together. It's the most obvious attempt to get a radio hit I've seen all year. Oh, I can believe it.
The only thing I can't believe is that these two still have any street cred; that people actually fall for this sh*t.
