A number of actors and musicians have thrown their support behind presidential hopeful Barack Obama, but Ludacris' 'Politics: Obama is Here' has caused a bit of a stir and is being publicly rejected by the senator's campaign.
The rapper blasts Obama's former opponent Sen. Hilary Clinton on the endorsement track, calling Clinton a "b----." Ludacris goes on to slam Republican presidential candidate John McCain, Rev. Jesse Jackson and President George W. Bush. Obama's campaign team released a statement condemning the track, which appears on the 'Gangsta Grillz: The Preview' mixtape, hosted by DJ Drama.
"As Barack Obama has said many, many times in the past, rap lyrics today too often perpetuate misogyny, materialism, and degrading images that he doesn't want his daughters or any children exposed to," campaign spokesman Bill Burton said in an e-mail statement Wednesday. "This song is not only outrageously offensive to Sen. Clinton, Rev. Jackson, Sen. McCain and President Bush, it is offensive to all of us who are trying to raise our children with the values we hold dear. While Ludacris is a talented individual he should be ashamed of these lyrics."

The WomenCount organization has also expressed outrage at Ludacris' harsh lyrics. "It is another example of hateful, sexist language being used on the campaign trail, and now is our moment to make it clear: not on our watch!" WomenCount's Communication Director Rosemary Camposano said in a statement.
Ludacris' camp has yet to address the recent backlash.

I am a huge Obama supporter. My family gives money to help him win every chance we get. We are also lovers of Hip Hop. Luda's song is HOT to DEATH. There isn't anything in the song that isn't true. Clinton played the gender card and the race card(which i resent as a woman of color)Jackson shit on Obama behind his back and smiled in his face. What I want is clean REAL politics. Where saying whats true outloud isn't a crime. You go head Luda, do yur dam thang and Thanks for the track!!!

ok ya obama supported luda when he was throwing him money but when luda came out with the song obama just threw him off. Anyways Obama just isn't qualified enough to be president.

I agree with you, Justin. Barack Obama has a lot to learn more before occupying the White House.

I can't believe Luda would talk some ish on a Veteran who has done way more for this country then write some pointless music. McCain survived 5 years of torture in the jungles of Vietnam while Luda just survived in the concrete jungle. Luda your music is bangin' but stay out of politics you just make yourself look ignorant.

Vote for Obama because he’s black? Race is playing too much of a factor in today’s society. Equality comes from no one color. Martin Luther King would not approve some african american approaches that have been exercised currently. Kanye West indefinitely. “Dance pretty good for a white girl.” Very offensive and racist. Remedial compared to some of Jesse Jackson’s double standards

if you dont want your children to listen to it then dont listen to it yourself, not eveyone cares about rap and rock isnt all sunshine and lolipops either the point is music these days means nothing

obama's chamign can stuff it (sorry obama i still hope you win)

Shit yall it's politics, Obamah probably did what any other politician would do. Its all about the majority vote!!!!! But I would bet $1000 that Luda got a private off the record call with and apology, and Jesse got a private off the record call with a nutt check.
blake3887at 8-03-2008
obama certainly allowed his girls to sit in church and listen to their preacher say horrible and degrading things every sunday for as long as they have been alive...

Everybodys gonna feel a different way. But I agree with JazzyFlowersx4 for the most part. But of course, the song will get a radio edit to make it clean, whats the big deal? And as for ksilverhardt, nobody is playing the race card. Make of it what you want, Obama is just the BEST candidate. But hey, fame comes with haters... Blake3887 is off the topic. And cmon, Bobth3monkey, McCain is another Bush!!! I got my pin, BARACK OBAMA 2008!!! As long as nothing is rigged, the best candidate (Obama) is going to win.
GO BARACK OBAMA!!!

Who really cares what Obama thinks anyway?

Wow, personally I do not think any of the candidates running are not qualified enough to be our president, no matter how old they are or what war they served in. I also think that although everyone is entitled to an opinion (including Luda with his song), the majority of the posts on this message board show the true ignorance of many people in our society...and these are the people who are going to vote for our next president. It is no wonder we have such a scary decision to make on election day.
