T.I. and Shawty Lo have been throwing daggers at each other for several months, but the "King of the South" has ignored the 'Laffy Taffy' rapper's remarks regarding his credibility, until now. "I've been out for nine years, ['Paper Trail'] is my sixth album. If any of these claims had any validity to them, wouldn't it have been said by now? I mean, if he felt like this, why didn't he say this when he was promoting 'Laffy Taffy'?," T.I. said in response to Lo's claims that Tip isn't really from Atlanta's Bankhead neighborhood.
T.I. attempted to refrain from biting Lo's head off in a recent radio interview, but managed to call the D4L member a hater. "In life we all have positions to play, and I've accepted my position in life as a winner, as a leader, as the example. The one who sets the standard of how to do things, and how to do things correctly. I've accepted his position as being a hater. And if I don't win, he can't hate. So I'ma do my job, so he can continue to do his."

I'm no T.I. fan, but that laffy taffy song sucks. The lyrics sound like they were written by an 8 year old. Hell, so does the music. I had a (toy) Casio keyboard in 1986 that had better songs prerecorded into it. But I'm just a hater. Yall want some real rap, get Immortal Technique- The 3rd World or Revolutionary Vol. 2
mckaymi3at 8-06-2008
these guys are both talentless and their music is the same garbage, they have no legitimate reason to criticize each other. i agree about immortal technique though, he is actually original and has something meaningful to say. atmosphere and aesop rock are both good too. there are alot of real, talented hip hop artists out there, these guys are just self-absorbed idiots, and what they make is a disgrace to the word "music."

Since when "Rap" was categorized as music anyway?

If I said: "Yall color people don't know shit about real music" people would freak out.
Quit with the "you people don't know this" etc etc, all it does is make you look ignorant because you are unable to come up with a legitimate reason as to why you are correct. I cant tell what color the skin is of the person whos song I am listening to, it either sounds right or it does not.
Keep up the bullshit comments you ignorant prick.
Drewat 8-06-2008
loso258 that wasnt an ignorant comment or anything

T.I. is one of the best. Stop with the racist shit. EVERYONE has they're own opinion of what "real" music is.

Wow, now that's a brilliant statement right there.
Perfectly summarizing just how screwed up the PC world has gotten. If somebody made a statement even close to that about ANY 'minority' group there would be a self righteous flame war immediatly.
Personally I have to admit that I don't know either of these artists music, but it sounds to me like a form viral marketing. In a non violent way creating camps to drum up support for either side.
Hence they both sell more.

It is sad that you have to resort to that because you cannot come up with any legitimate reason as to why their music is actually worth listening to. So while I have not heard it I think it is safe to conclude their music has no redeeming qualities what so ever and is not worth my time.
As for other types of music... LoL @ all these "X type of music is better than Y" remarks. Fucking grow up, if everyone listened to the same music & wore the same clothes and liked the same art the world would be boring. But whatever, go enjoy hanging out with your same crowd over and over never listening to anything new. Why would you want to see what the world has to offer?

EvilFluffyBunny-- Exactly couldn't have said it better myself. I do listen to rap and have heard both artists. I will say that rap has taken a nose dive straight into the toliet and anyone that would disagree is either A) Young and doesn't know any better or B) A club head who can't get enough of the insanely repetive lyrics and the fact that no artists(I use that term loosely) speaks of anything worth speaking. I used to defend rap and the creativity of the lyrics but I just can't do it anymore. On a side note T.I. although commerical shouldn't even give this guy the pub. by beefing with him. Shawty Lo couldn't wipe his ass. "Laffy Taffy"???? Are you kidding me this is his masterpiece? What has pop culture and music in general become?
