Reason to Listen: With three impressive releases in just over a year, Blu, whose vibe and vocal timber may remind some of Cali greats like Hiero and The Pharcyde, brings us an updated take on the golden age rap we've reminisced over. Of course, we're still waiting for an album with Flying Lotus to drop.
Bottom Line: Great, soulful MC without pretension.
