According to police officials, an employee of a New York hot spot has confessed to killing a woman whose body was found in the club's utility closet just days after she visited the club for Lil' Kim's birthday party Sunday night.

Ingrid Rivera was found beaten to death at Spotlight Live where she was last seen being escorted out of the club. Witnesses claim the 24-year-old was being forced out of the club because she was drunk, but it's unclear how she made her way back in the venue. Rivera's family reported her missing when she failed to return home from the club. A maintenance worker discovered Rivera's body on Wednesday.



Pint-sized rapper Lil' Kim was celebrating her 34th birthday at the nightclub, which is well known for it's frequent R&B live performance events. Missy Elliott, Busta Rhymes and Wyclef Jean were all in attendance for the hip-hop diva's bash. Kim has not commented on the events surrounding Rivera's death.
