'Raising Hell,' by Run-DMC
In the mid-'80s, Run-DMC were already household names in their hometown of Queens, New York, thanks to 'It's Like That' and the title track of their sophomore effort, 'King of Rock.' By the time the trio released 'Raising Hell,' kids around the globe strolled down the street rocking Adidas without the laces. It was the beginning of a global appreciation for the new genre of music.

lets get serious now....run dmc were pioneers of hip hop...but lyrcists they're not. ok album, only deserving of the top 20 because they're pioneers and they helped hip hop breakthrough, but not very lyrical as MC's.

...that's why you need to know how to read. It's top 20 Hip-Hop ALBUMS - dumazz! If you don't think this is a top album, you probably hadn't been born yet!
