Top 20 Hip-Hop Albums of All Time: No. 2

'Reasonable Doubt,' by Jay-Z
Before S. Carter was the king of the ROC, 'Reasonable Doubt' was his crowning achievement. Featuring Mary J. Blige, Biggie, Foxy Brown and Memphis Bleek, and classic production by Clark Kent and DJ Premier, the album introduced young Hov to the world in a truly memorable fashion. His ambition, conscience and braggadocious wit created true masterpiece, and tracks like 'Dead Presidents II,' 'Feelin' It' and 'Brooklyn's Finest' will forever belong in hip-hop's canon.

Nice to see someone gave respect to AZ, he's one of the most underrated MC's ever. Reasonable Doubt is ranked way too high, seems like you put it there just because of Jays popularity now. Also, glad you did'nt throw some Eminem album on here, they dont belong. He's an entertaining MC but thats it, nothing classic about his albums, just entertaining.

its an okay list, but you should've doubled up on biggie and put life after death on, same goes for jayz wit blueprint. You are missing Marshall mathers lp, eminem show, college dropout and liscenced to ill but overall, a good job

I coming from a strictly hip hop perspective, the list was cool but didn't go deeper... Everyone has heard of the albums that you've listed, you put 2pacs most commercial album up but it wasn't close to being his best, here are some albums that you missed.... Show biz & AG Runaway Slave, Diamond D Stunts Blunts & Hip hop, And justice for all Brand Nubian, Alcohols 21 & over, Epmd strictly business, Pharacyde bizarre Ride, MF Doom Doomsday, Nas Illmatic, Ultramagnetic Mc critical beatdown, Gang starr Daily Operation, Mobb Deep the infamous... I'm coming from a hip hop level not record sales or popularity....... There are many more albums & artist that I didn't list.........

"Reasonable Doubt" should be number 1, followed by "Ready To Die" and "Midnight Marauders." That's my opinion. Those are the 3 CD's I would have to have with me if deserted somewhere!! Everyone has their own tastes. Some people think Pac was better than Biggie. Chill and allow people to speak. I think overall the list was good.
