Busta Rhymes is definitely not out of the rap game. The rapper took to the airwaves to confirm his new record deal in an interview with New York radio personality DJ Envy. Busta set the record straight on moving from Aftermath/Interscope records to his new home at Universal Motown. The rumor mill has been swirling about Busta's departure from the label and of a possible beef with Jimmy Iovine, chairman of Interscope. "Big up to Interscope for, you know, giving me the leaked joints and the set ups," he said. "Now we gonna consider those the leaked joints."
According to Busta, the move over to Universal/Motown will not change his relationship with his label head and producer Dr. Dre. "Me and Dre are still good," he said. "So even though I'm not in business with Aftermath or Interscope, I'm still with Aftermath. Me and Dre are always gonna be good."
Busta's latest project which was originally named 'Blessed' and scheduled for release this past summer has been renamed 'B.O.M.B.' and will drop on Dec. 9. 'B.O.M.B.' is the acronym for 'Back On MyBulls---,'" he added. "I just want the world to know it's official,' he said in the interview. 'New single from Busta Rhymes' new album, 'B.O.M.B.,' is called 'Arab Money.' Let's do it!"
