Big Boi Inks Deal With Coke

OutKast's Big Boi has signed on to be the face of Coca-Cola's Full Throttle Fury Energy drink. The beverage company is set to re-launch the drink with a new add and marketing campaign that will feature the Atlanta rapper.

The company's goal is to target the African-American male demographic. "Full Throttle Fury appeals to men like me who consider themselves real and authentic, whose work style is to go all the way," Big Boi said in a statement. "I spend most of my days in the recording studio or involved in new projects. Full Throttle Fury has a great taste and provides me the energy to get through my busy day."

Full Throttle will also be the official sponsor of Big Boi's promotional tours and record release parties for his upcoming solo album 'Sir Lucious Left Foot: Son of Chico Dusty.'

"My new album 'Sir Lucious Left Foot' embodies the energy of Full Throttle Fury, where I feel like the body of work I've created on this CD will hopefully motivate my fans even more with its high energy and conscious lyrics as I've always created in my music." Full Throttle is available in stores nationwide and 'Sir Lucious Left Foot: Son of Chico Dusty' will hit stores in October 28.

I drank some full throttle to stay up studying the other night and that stuff is liquid crystal meth! I was talking fast, writing my notes fast, even the thoughts in my head were racing. I don't think I'll do it again, I almost had a heart attack. Definitely makes Red Bull seem like kool-aid, lol. Coke might want to make the product safer before the new mass marketing campaign. That stuff should come with a prescription or medical liability disclaimer.
