R. Kelly has flipped the script with his legal woes and become the plaintiff rather than the defendant. The R&B singer sued Rowe Entertainment and was awarded $3.4 million. The judgment was granted last month, but R. Kelly Touring, the company representing the singer, filed court documents Monday to get a judge's confirmation of the award. Kelly accuses the Georgia based company and owner Leonard Rowe of failing to pay him in full for shows taking place last year and early 2008. Though an arbitrator agreed with Kelly's claims, Rowe disputed them but offered no defense.
This new ruling comes just months after singer Ne-Yo won a$700,000 judgment against Rowe for being kicked off of the same tour. Kelly, a Grammy award winning singer was exonerated of all charges this summer in a child pornography case. The singer is currently working on a new album.
