T.I. Says He's 'Anxious' to Go to Prison

It was a year to the day that Grammy Award-winning rapper T.I. was scheduled to appear at the 2007 BET hip-hop awards in Atlanta. Instead of making a calm and cool acceptance speech and performing a medley of hits off his fifth album 'T.I. vs. T.I.P.,' the rap star was arrested in a Walgreens parking lot for attempting to buy a slew of machine guns and silencers.

T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris Jr., pleaded guilty to illegal weapons possession and was sentenced to seven months of house arrest, 1,500 hours of community service and one year in jail. Tip is set to begin serving his one-year sentence in March.

Now, a year later, he explains how he's not scared, but instead "concerned" and "anxious" to get it all over with. "Sooner I get started, sooner I get finished," T.I. said in a recent interview with CNN.

The rapper goes on to discuss how he's grateful for his plea agreement that's allowed him to serve the minimum sentence despite his prior run-ins with the law. "I have a lot of people to make proud," T.I. admitted. "Even the government -- the people in the government who stood up for my conditions to be the way they are, rather than the way a lot of people wanted them to be. The last thing I want to do is let them down."

In other T.I. news, the rapper released his sixth studio album on September 30. The album features the inspirational track 'No Matter What,' ode to the ladies 'Whatever You Like,' 'Live Your Life,' featuring pop diva Rihanna, and radio favorite 'Swagga Like Us.' 'Live Your Life' broke the record for biggest leap to number one when it shot from number eighty to number one on the Billboard Hot 100, giving T.I. his second Hot 100 number one single.

wow i dont know what to say about half of these people... im not saying im a thug in anyway im a skinny white kid but do you all know what t.i has to go through every day??? people have bountys on his head they will try to kill him anyway, anyhow. i dont blame him at all for buying guns hell i would do the same thing if i was in his position he had a fear of getting shot that night... yeah its illegal im not saying that there shouldent be any punishment but to sit here and talk down on him for what he did??? you all fucking disgust me, i hope you get chopped up while in the middle of a drive by somewere. and further more t.i is probly the most legit rapper out there. hes grown up in hell hes been there and back and stands up to tell about it and tries to make the streets better than what they are. unlike fake ass rappers like lil wayne for instance, always rapping about being a blood when hes not even one. he just smokes to many trees
and makes money

my heart goes out to you t.i

josh is the man! Its so true all the blaqs do is complain becuase they are paranoid about being second class, you have every opportunity to make yourself into a better person, but al you want to do is thug, cap, and sell on the block. Stop complaining about everything, or everytime someone makes a comment about a black man!

Even tho my head in the clouds I'm planning on the pavement
People walk around looking at me in amazement
I play a lot of game but where I'm being I ain't playing with
They so judgemental that they don't understand that
If ya life is in jeopardy
Everyday is you telling me
You wouldn't need weaponry
Just because of your felonies
Consider this at least I got everybody sweating me
Homies streets is people who won't rest unless I rest in peace
Killed my folk a year ago still in my sleep they threaten me
Paranoia stressing me
Ain't nobody protecting me
I'm dealing with the pressure from my partner dying next to me
Thinking no ones arrested they coming for me eventually
This all the things that I would go and do mentally
This could be the reason I ignored the pennitentiary
Not mentioning new orlean niggas coming in the city killing all summer long ain't no body pay attention

[Bridge:]
Now is it that hard to understand if you listen
Die or go to jail that's a hell of a decision
But I'm wrong and I know that my excuses arent important
I'm just trying to let you know that I ain't think I had a choice

[Verse 2:]
I'm a man I ain't perfect I admit I'm guilty
But understand feel me
I will ride filthy
Cause niggas out there plotting to rob me and kill me
Five hundred thousand every year spent on security
My future looked bright but now it getting blurry
Niggas in a hurry to find me and bury me
For surely god will deliver
Me I'm about it I'm a fighter to the heart I'll forever be about it
I'm a father to my sons asset to my community
Look all that I have done my good outweigh the negativity
Mentally I was focused on not letting history
Repeat itself that's why heat was kept in that vacinity
Guess eventually I'm gon be known but no meliciously
Through all of the publicity was anyone considering
My position and the logic heading my decision
But they caught me with em and hauled me off to prison
PERIOD.

FORREAL

[Chorus:]
I had straps in my ride (ride) gotta go to prison (prison)
U waiting on me to die u gone be waiting for a minute
Boy I'm ready for whatever
Somebody better tell em
I'll be here when the smoke clear and everything settle
Can't afford the price of fame cause it cost to much
Plus these sucka niggas lame and they talk to much
That's why I'm ready for whatever
Somebody better tell em
I'll be here when the smoke clear and everything settle

Forreal, Forreal, Forreal
I said when everything settle
Forreal, Forreal, Forreal
I said when everything settle
Forreal, Forreal, Forreal
I said when everything settle
Forreal, Forreal, Forreal
I said when everything settle

When you hear LIBERALS talk about Gun Control they are NOT talking about these THUGS,No they are talking about Law Abiding citizens .

NEVER ever let them take your guns.NO way .These thugs are waiting in the wings and they will take you on.
