As our nation storms the polls to vote for our next president, Nas follows up 'Black President' with 'Election Night,' a hopeful track encouraging Americans to "surprise us and let a Black man guide us." The Queensbridge, N.Y. rapper recorded the track, which features snippets of presidential hopeful Barack Obama's moving speeches, earlier today. Nas admits this is his first time exercising his right to vote and sympathizes with Obama as he rhymes: "He gotta deal with grandma dying from cancer/ No time off/ No days off or nights to sleep/ He ain't even got time to weep."
The emcee joins a long list of musicians and celebrities who continue to rally behind the Illinois senator, even down to the last few hours before the polls close. Diddy, Jay-Z and Mary J. Blige attended Monday's 'Promote the Vote' rally in North Philadelphia to encourage all those in attendance to get out and vote in today's election.
