If you thought that Lil Wayne's career moves couldn't get more surprising, think again. The rapper recently hit the stage of the 42nd Annual Country Music Awards. Although this isn't the first time that hip-hop and country music have shared the same lane (rapper Nelly released a successful single 'Over and Over' with country star Tim McGraw in 2004) it sure is the most interesting. Wayne took to the awards show stage with Kid Rock for last night's performance in Nashville. Instead of rapping he opted to play his guitar in the background as Kid sang his hit record "All Summer Long" off his double platinum album 'Rock 'n Roll Jesus.'
No stranger to hip-hop collaborations, Kid has worked with Too Short, Ludacris and most notably Rev. Run of Run-DMC, who he toured with earlier this year.
Wayne's third album 'Tha Carter III' is one of the top-selling albums of the year with 2.6 million units sold. This week the New Orleans born rapper also releases his mixtape, 'Dedication 3', produced by DJ Drama.
