After years of tapping into her inner diva when performing with Destiny's Child, Beyonce Knowles finally lets her alter ego, "Sasha," loose on her new album, 'I Am ... Sasha Fierce.' The album -- which is in stores today -- features upbeat, bass-heavy dance tracks for fans of Beyonce's sexy second self and emotional ballads that reflect the singer's softer side. "When I was trying to decide the title of my album I realized that it had two different sounds," Beyonce explained during her recent Sessions taping. "One represented who I really am and one sounded like my alter ego, so I decided to split it in two because I feel like Sasha is a big treat for my fans."
Tracks like the hit single, 'If I Were a Boy' and 'Halo' showcase the singer/actress' penchant for dramatic, yet vulnerable songs, while 'Single Ladies,' 'Radio' and 'Diva' are Sasha's moments to shine. Fortunately for Beyonce, her devoted fans love both sides. Buy 'I Am ... Sasha Fierce' on iTunes.
In other notable releases, 112 frontman Slim steps out on his own with his new album, 'Love's Crazy.' The singer gets some help from a few famous friends, including Fabolous, Faith Evans and Yung Joc, as he croons about the ups and downs in relationships on his solo debut.
