According to recent reports, Grammy-winning soul-singer Erykah Badu and rapper-turned-actor Mos Def will join forces in the upcoming indie flick, 'Bobby Zero.' Badu landed a leading role opposite Mos in the Markus and Mason Canter-penned film about a "down-on-his-luck social satirist" who unwillingly trades in bohemian lifestyle to work in corporate America.
Mos Def will play the romantic lead and executive produce the film, which is scheduled to begin production in 2009. The rapper can also be seen in 'Cadillac Records,' alongside Beyonce Knowles and Adrien Brody, when the music drama hits theaters on Dec. 5. Badu is currently expecting her third child.
