Fox Searchlight's Notorious B.I.G. biopic, 'Notorious' hits theaters on January 16, and it's looking pretty solid. George Tillman Jr., who directed 'Soul Food' and 'Barbershop,' is at the helm, and the cast includes Jamal Woodward (aka Brooklyn rapper Gravy) as Biggie, Derek Luke (who was great in 'Half Nelson') as Diddy, Angela Bassett as Voletta Wallace and 3LW's Naturi Naughton as Lil' Kim. But the real treat of the film is expected to be the music. Barry Cole (Belly, American Psycho) is the music supervisor, so we know the music will be on point. The 'Notorious' soundtrack is rumored to feature a new Biggie demo (!) and brand new songs by Jay-Z and Jadakiss.
