Over a year since the death of Kanye West's mother, Donda, an official probe has been launched into the role of Kanye's cousin, Stephan Scoggins. According to People Magazine, the 46-year-old registered nurse was supposed to be supervising Mrs. West along with West's assistant, the day after her her plastic surgery, but instead opted to attend a baby shower.
Later that evening, Mrs. West collapsed. Scoggins was unable to be reached, so she was driven to a Los Angeles hospital, where she died.
The cause of death was initially described as "a result of complications from a cosmetic surgical procedure," several months later, however, a Los Angeles Coroner ruled "multiple post-operative factors" responsible for West's death.
Now, over a year later, a California investigator has issued subpoenas to several people close to the case, asking them to "testify in the matter of the investigation of Stephan Scoggins."
Kanye has yet to make a statement.
