Ne-Yo Calls Grammy Nod 'Recognition of Versatility'

Ne-Yo isn't exaggerating when he says, "I'm definitely in great company," for his Album of the Year Grammy nod. The R&B star is nominated alongside Lil Wayne, Coldplay, Radiohead, and Robert Plant and Alison Krauss.

To Ne-Yo it's a recognition of his versatility. "I kind of pride myself on my diversity and I'm part of the movement that's trying to erase the genres of music to where you eventually just have two, good music and bad music," he says.

To him, the Grammy noms are a promising sign of that movement. "I think that we're definitely moving in that direction with the different groups of people that are nominated for Album of the Year."
