Diddy Reviews Biggie Biopic

Though we haven't seen the critics' reviews yet, Notorious B.I.G. biopic, 'Notorious' already has one huge supporter in the Brooklyn great's former partner Sean "Diddy" Combs, formerly known as Puff Daddy. As the Bad Boy chief told MTV, "Truth be told, I was blown away by the movie. I was entertained by the movie. The movie is what was happening. Can't no critics speak on it. I'm telling you, that's my life right there. That's what it was. That's what was happening."

This is high praise coming from a star who is far from easily pleased, and it's a difficult subject altogether due to Big's place in the rap cannon, but ever since we heard Cheo Hodari Coker (who also wrote a stellar Biggie biography) was penning the film, we've been excited about its release.

"At the end of the movie, it messed me up," Diddy added. "I was messed up for two weeks. It made you miss him in the right way. It made you count your blessings. It's definitely a tear-jerker. It's definitely a movie you're gonna be dancing in, crying in, you're gonna love it. You're gonna wanna see it again."

'Notorious' will be released on January 13th. It stars Angela Basset, rapper Gravy (Jamal Woolard) as Big, and Derek Luke as Puff, who you know must have done his thing, otherwise we'd have heard about it. The soundtrack for the film is looking pretty juicy as well, with a collaboration between Big and his son CJ (ala Natalie and Nat King Cole) so look out for that.

Noah- rap is not music....never was, never will be.....if you are unsure what music is defined as, go to dictionary.com.....i never said i do not like rap, i said rappers have no talent.....

as for biggie- he was TOTAL PIECE OF GARBAGE. A SCUMBAG DRUG DEALER. THE ONLY SHAME ABOUT HIS DEATH WAS IT WAS 24 YEARS TOO LATE!!!!

Why do people look up to shit like him i will never know....he was not original (what, you think he was the first black piece of shit ex drug dealer rapper "painting" a picture of his upbringing without daddy around? Think he was the first black rapper to drop out of high school and get arrested on weapons charges? The first black rapper arrested for being a crack dealer- selling poison to the homies? The first black rapper to still sell drugs after he got signed? the first black rapper to get arrested after he was famous for threatening the very same people who made him famous?).

Nope, nothing original about him at all, it was the same old, same old with this type of rap- tired, stale lyrics about how hard it was growing up, how hard it was pushing drugs. His so called unique delivery is a by product of his being a fat piece of shit who had breathing problems caused by his being up to 200 pounds overweight; that and no formal training as a singer.

I happen to like some rap bands.......necro, twiztid, ill bill, insane clown posse, and others like them-rappers who are white and therefore do not attempt to pander to the lowest common denominator (the black audiences)....

also, just because something is globally appreciated does not mean it is any good.....according to you, rap is globally appreciated, but of the top 200 selling musical "artists" in the world, only 2 are rappers....so I guess being globally appreciated does not equate to global sales. Is that because most "inner city" rap fans steal their cd? Illegally download them? or engage in the juvenile practice of trading mix tapes? In the real world (meaning out of the ghetto) appreciation is measured not by street "cred", not by having a "rep", but by tangible statistics. Appreciation can only be measured, not guessed at.....

and, no i do no listen to country music while having sex with my sister; i listen to white rap while ghetto gagging your mom! I get more black ass then you do, I am sure....I got two things most non whites do not have- brains & a bank account.

harryhate88 your a half brainedtwit who probably listens to country music while you have sex with your sister. Rap is one of the most globally appreciated genres of music on the planet. To deny Biggie for what he was makes you a total ignoramus. You should be stricken of the right to form opinions. Biggie was and will always be one of the greatest rap artist in history.
While his style was brash he had the ability to tell stories and make you feel what he was going through at that point in his life by painting very eloquent descriptions for his listeners.
if you dont like rap dont listen to it but keep your ill-formed opinions to yourself.
Go molest your cousin you inbred shit for brains loser

Just imagine if because you didn't agree with someone's opinion, you would lose the right to have one? Is that what we can expect from the future? Why am I not surprised at this attitude?

How in the world are Obama and his team responsible to this recession? I am not surprised that you Republicans always want to point the finger at Demarcates for everything. Obama has even been sworn in yet, but he is still to blame for what is going on in this country. Bush is not a saint, but you all want to label him as such. This is just crazy! I think you’re angry because a black man won the election. If he were white, you would have no problem with it. You are making yourselves look and sound like fools by blaming this man who hasn’t been sworn in yet. I bet you will blame him for the whole auto bailout issue. If the bailout does or does not pass, it’s just another reason to place blame on him. I personally think it is a bad idea either way, but something has to be done. You all will continue to blame him even if he does prove you all wrong. It doesn’t matter what good he does, it will NEVER be good enough for you. It was Bush and his team that got us into this recession. There is no way in hell that Obama and his team are responsible for the recession.

your an idiot it was the democrats who kept pushing for lower regulations so that they could close more shit loans and line their poockets even fatter. The republicans were the ones fightin to regulate the industry before it hit the turmoil that we are currently in. Go google how much money between salaries and bonuses were paid to democratic house members by fannie and freddie mac. The republicans may only care about money and not really give a rats ass about the poor but at least they never manipulated the poor in order to fatten their pockets like the democrats did.
Bush may have sucked as a president and spent money wastefully but you can not associate him to a whole party and assume this is the fault of republicans. It was democrats who were paid off by these major mortgage institutions to keep de-regulating the housing industry that pushed us into this recession.
You should do some research before you speak and by research I dont mean fox news.
You make yourself sound completely ignorant. Another jerkjob who watched a few news specials and thinks he has enough info to form an opinion.

Wow, what modesty...

And I don't know how Nobmama got into this, but for you know-nothings, he is NOT black - he is biracial. Furthermore, he was abandoned by his father (gee, that's a surprise) and raised by his WHITE grandparents, so whatever he is, his grandparents deserve the credit for what he is today.
