Dizzee Rascal, one of the UK grime/rap scene's most successful artists, was arrested on Friday after an alleged incident of "road rage" involving a baseball bat. According to the BBC, Rascal allegedly approached another motorist with a baseball bat in hand "probably not to discuss the latest Yankees game." Considering this a potential threat, the police took immediate action.
"A 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being in possession of an offensive weapon," a spokesman for the police said. "He has been bailed until later this month."
The incident occurred in the south east section of London, in the afternoon, and the rapper, who once spit "I ain't got a .44, I'll have to settle for a long metal bar," has declined to comment.
