Wu Tang Clan's RZA is set to share the screen with funny men Adam Sandler, Seth Rogen, Leslie Mann and a gang of other comedians in the newest Judd Apatow-directed film, 'Funny People.' The Wu-mastermind has previously appeared in Jim Jarmusch's 'Ghost Dog,' and most recently in Ridley Scott's 'American Gangster,' but he has never appeared in a comedic role, so we can only assume the outcome will be, to borrow a turn of phrase from Ghostface Killah, "like ziti," which is to say, awesome.
According to recent reports, the film is about a successful stand up comedian named George, who discovers he has an untreatable disease and is given less than a year to live.
'Funny People' also stars Eric Bana, Jonah Hill and Jason Schwartzman and allegedly, a guest appearance by Bruce Springsteen. The comedy is set to hit theaters in July.
