R&B diva Ciara has created her own comic book character, Supa C, to accompany her upcoming album , 'Fantasy Ride,' which is set for release in 2009. The 23-year-old is teaming up with DC Comics to bring Supa C to life on the album's cover. "I have always been a huge fan of comic book illustrations as well as action super heroes, especially Batman and Spider-Man," Ciara said in a recent interview.
The singer, who's set to make her first big screen appearance in the film adaptation of the off-Broadway musical 'Mama I Want to Sing,' was originally scheduled to take fans on a 'Fantasy Ride' in September, but the album, has since been pushed back.
The new project will be packaged as a bundle of three conceptualized albums, each of which will display a different side of the diva. The first disc, dubbed 'Groove City,' will showcase the singer's sensual side. The second and third discs, 'Crunktown' and 'Kingdom of Dance,' will feature up-tempo cuts. The album's first single, 'Go Girl,' featuring T-Pain, was released in October.
