Singer/actress Jennifer Hudson is scheduled to make her first public appearance since the tragic murders of her mother, brother and nephew. Hudson has been tapped to pay tribute to Neil Diamond at February's MusiCares Person of the Year gala. The singer will join the Foo Fighters, Coldplay, Josh Groban and Tim McGraw as they sing Diamond's classics at the annual pre-Grammy event.
Earlier this month, Hudson returned to work and began filming her video for the second single, 'If It Isn't Love,' off her self-titled debut album. The video shoot was originally scheduled at the time the tragedy occurred in late October.
Hudson, who's been in seclusion since the tragedy, was nominated for four Grammy awards, including best R&B album for her debut and released a statement last week. "It's been a childhood dream of mine to release an album, so to receive four Grammy nominations is truly a blessing," she said. "I am extremely honored and humbled by the nominations."
