Malaysia Wants Rihanna to Cover Up for Upcoming Concert

Singer Rihanna will be hitting Malaysia next month and per the request of the government she will trade in her usual skin heavy outfits for more modest digs. According to the concert promoter Razman Razali, the pop-star's management is "aware of the country's regulations and the difficulties of doing a show".

Rihanna, who is known for her fashion sense, has been deemed too sexy, as the singer can often be seen donning leotards with stockings and tight fitting tops. She is one of many performers who have been asked to follow strict guidelines in the Muslim ruled country. Under government restrictions, female performers must be covered from the top of their chest to the bottom of their knees.

Singers like Beyonce, Avril Lavigne and Gwen Stefani were all hit with the same limitations preceding their concerts in the country. In 2006 organizers of a Pussycat Doll's concert were fined around $3,000 for the group's scantily clad attire.

The concert, which will be held in the country's capital, is said to sell close to the 16,000 seat capacity. Rihanna is currently promoting the re-release of her 2007 album 'Good Girl Gone Bad,' which has produced hits 'Umberella,' 'Disturbia,' and 'Rehab.'

They're banning her clothing? They should ban her voice and her choice of songs instead!!

That photo is cheesy. Seriously, she only degrades herself by throwing her twins out for all to see. What happened to classy and elegant...then again, I guess one would have to possess those qualities in order to display them. Clearly the cheap and trashy look suits her just fine....

What a crock. Muslim sensibilities are upset with some skin showing, but its ok to kill (brutally)sister or daugther because she "shamed" the family by riding in a car IN PUBLIC with a man or boy not related to her. If they were truly honest they simply would not allow the concert or ANYONE not covered head to toe in....oh...wait..they want foreign currency...why? I guess to fund terrorists better.

Lol, I like the attepmts that so many have on here to try and state what they believe is their "profound" understanding of the world. In all the countries I have been to that have freedoms of speech, this is the only one that should take them away from certain individuals. This is not Ancient Rome anymore, and to believe we live in such frailty that one person alone can bring down this nation is obsurd. Few basic principals...

The economy lags nearly a decade behind present time. Events set in motion show their effects several years later. The Clinton admin. introduced the worst idea ever. NAFTA, the North American Free Trade Act, allowing goods to pass mexican/american and Canadian/American borders un taxed. Thus allowing all of our heavy industry and comercial production to step over the border and do business with cheap labor, no benefits, untaxed government rule and untaxed import to our front doors. Second is the nearly $800 billion dollars that is sent by migrant workers to central american countries that god old president Fox keeps in his country with no exchange of goods or services to supmlement its drain on our economy.

"Economical evil's" and such labels giving to things like telecommunications and oil business' are rediculous. Big oil is in the business of making money and selling energy, and even if you find an effective alternative fuel, Kayo Oil, Exxon Mobile, and British Petroleum will still be the ones providing it and still getting your money.

Part of our problem is we want quality american made products, built by american born and raised people, but our cheap a** only want to pay prices that only foriegn labor and production can give us. If we stopped with the walmart bargin shopping and forced industry to produce in america, yeah we would have less money in our pockets but eventually that production would come back, employ our citizens and keep that money at home. Goods would cost more but that money would always be circulating in our economy resulting in better pay for all of us and subsequently canceling out the higher costs.

And thats just some of the economical issues among so many others, but in the end the ones who brought this nation to its knees is us, and our lazy "let someone else deal with it, what can i do anyway" attitudes allowed criminals and profiteers to dominate and altimately create enough ripples and desperation that we believe that ellecting a fast speaking individual (who was already a part of the currupt system)that offers any realistic ideas that he can fix it for us. And we march to his drum, and to the drum of republicans, to the drum of lobbiest, to the drum of wall street, and to the drum of anyone we felt could do the dirty work so we wouldn't have too. The mirrors never mask the guilty, and as long as we sit back and point the finger at Bush or who ever else is the current scape goat we will never take control of our lives and build this country back to any state of former glory.

Peace

I don't much care for Obama either, but I guess he will also be blamed for all natural disasters by your thinking, obamaisevil.
The things you accuse him of, well, he simply has no control over all of that.
At least try to be logical if you want to be taken seriously.

obamaisevil08, that is the most retarded thing I have ever heard, I don't know how anyone would believe that without having their left part of their brain removed.

WHY IS OBAMA A LOW-LIFE PIECE OF GARBAGE? Obama and the Democrats intentionally caused the recession to make the Bush Administration look bad in order to win the presidential election. That's right. Obama and the Democrats caused the collapse of the stock market, manipulated the unemployment figures, and forced banks to give out risky loans just to cause a recession in order to win an election. Obama used those who voted for him by playing them for fools and in effect stole from the American public through deception. He used and manipulated American voters as if they were garbage. Its all explained here in simple to understand terms: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,453086,00.html
