According to the LAPD, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony's troubled rapper Bizzy Bone was the victim of a vicious assault and robbery last week in California.Bizzy, who had officially reunited with Bone Thugs just last month, was accosted while returning to his Hilton hotel room. The group allegedly beat and choked the rapper, stole his jewelry and left.
One suspect has been charged thus far, Marlo "Bow Wow" Jones, who ironically is a member of Unity One, an anti-gang organization. He has been terminated from the organization and is being held on $1.1 million bail. Police are still searching for the other male and female suspects who took part in the robbery.
The incident is especially unfortunate because Bizzy, who spent much of the last five years homeless, and was kidnapped and sexually assaulted as a child, seems to turned around his life by reuniting with Bone Thugs.
The group, which released 'Strength & Loyalty' in 2007, is currently recording a new album, 'Uni 5,' which is the first album with Bizzy since 2002, and is slated for summer, 2009. We wish Bizzy and his family the best.
