Young Jeezy Responds to Bill O'Reilly's Comments

Atlanta rapper Young Jeezy's song 'My President' has managed to catch the ear of republican news host Bill O'Reilly but contrary to reports he will not appear on the show. O'Reilly, who is no stranger to public disagreements with the hip-hop community, called Jeezy's performance of the song "offensive."

During the broadcast O'Reilly "invited" him to appear on his show while a guest commentator called Jeezy "Young Emphysema." Per his reps, the rapper will not be accepting that invitation, which was reportedly taken out of context by various media outlets.

"At the end of the day, you're dealing with cats who think that we as young black men don't know what it is we do. [We're] entrepreneurs, we came from nothing. If you [have to] mispronounce my name to try to be funny and you got a Harvard or whatever education you got, then you're really showing how ignorant you are," he said in an interview. The rapper also noted that the song is merely an articulation of his feelings towards President Barack Obama's win and the change that he will bring to this country.

O'Reilly, who hosts 'The O'Reilly Factor' on Fox News channel, is known for challenging democrats, rappers, and anyone who doesn't follow his conservative views. According to the show's producer, Jeezy's invitation still stands.

Jeezy's third album 'The Recession,' featuring the single 'My President,' was released last September.

Personally, I think that society gives rap music a hard time for no reason. A movie comes out giving a live potrayal of all the violence in the world and it gets great reviews, but a rapper tells a story about robbing or killing someone and it's time to shut down the industry. It's the art of story telling that gives them their creativity. As for the song by Young Jeezy, "My President Is Black." Why is this such a problem? This song came out on his album months before the election even took place. So I feel that you can't take offense to the song.

Just because something is popular, doesn't mean its good! Hitler was popular,Mao Tse Tung,Saddam Hussein, etc. Woodstock culture & its child Hip Hop culture, plus the Singularity(look it up and try to comprehend!) has turned the world upside down. We've gone from Motown to Jay Z . Earth Wind & Fire to Ludacris. Skill to Yelling & Screaming. At some point the give back for slavery ends ,then........

It's not the music, it's the message, it's the CULTURE and LIFESTYLE that the music portrays, which the majority of people, for some strange reason, take as reality. I am Latino, and when I see my brothers and sisters listening to that crap, it disgusts me, even if it's the Spanish kind. Blacks and Latinos are, historically, very traditional, very religious, hard working, good people, and when I see the generation that has been produced listening to that trash, it's plain and simple to see what produces this type of music and culture of self-destruction.

Whine, whine, whine, 'It's not the music, you're so ignorant!" You're right, it's the culture that the musicians come from. I'm sorry, but even in crazy metal bands they never talk about driving through the hood shooting N****'s up over money/weed. Country songs never talk about all the women they ditch after they get pregnant or all the bastard children they have at home 'cause they're in jail and don't pay child support. There is nothing good or honorable that comes from the Hip-hop culture, community, or whatever you want to call it. Judge a tree by it's fruit, and the fruit I see is destruction.

It's sad when Latinos and blacks actually stand up for the garbage and trash coming into their community, like it's in some way a positive or inspiring thing. I grew up in the marlboro projects in Brooklyn, NYC, and from my own firsthand knowledge I can tell you that rap only perpetuates destruction. Look at how they're dressed, how they act. They are dressed like old pimps, surprised they're not purple suits, in Atlanta, which is mostly ghetto anyway. But, there will always be proponents of the culture of death, because while some white guy might go out on a serial killing spree, how many people do serial killers kill as opposed to the specifically minority violence every year? And people always want to justify they're actions about why they did crimes or live in the ghetto. But it's not like any of our ancestors had welfare to help them! It's misspending, 'cause everybody wants to own cars and houses that they can't afford. I grew up in the same projects my parents did, and eventually after hard work and dedication we got out of there. My parents both work, make decent money, and are working on they're second house while I am working towards my first. We all have vehicles that we can afford, and I'm saving up for my downpayment on a home. None of us have degrees or ever got welfare, in fact, my dad never graduated high school. My father and I both work in Military/law enforcement and my mother is a contracted translator for medical and law firms.

To any Latinos or Blacks out there, I say this: Return to your roots! Love of family, God and country.

Espana Una!
Espana Grande!
Espana Libre!
Arriba Espana!

O'Reilly always seems mad and is picking on somebody with less political experience than him because he just mad Oberman kicks his ass any day. As for people saying RAP is not music you are right..its not...its Rythm And Poetry. But i could just as easily say rock aint music its just a bunch a guys in a band..in which most cases only one of them has real talent and thats the one that can sing...dont get me wrong i like anything sounds good, but there is a reason RAP is up there in popularity for top genres in the world...crushing Rock/Metal or any other genre for that matter in popularity and sales...

I think Bill's real problem is that he can't stand to see people of color or women make so much MONEY in his United States of America. Even though none of it is at his expense. He's not loosing his money due to something Jeezy is doing.Come on, most of us don't know who the hell Young Jeezy is. And as much as you would like to Bill, you can't compare him or anyone else with our President because of his culture.

Bill is just an ignorant bigot of other cultures exept his own. Music is cultural and always has been. There is plenty of Irish lore put to music out there and Bill get's drunk, dances and sings with all the rest. This situation let's you know what kind of hipocrite Bill really is. He would defend to the death our constitutional right to free speach, depending on WHO'S DOING THE SPEAKING. I don't think our constitution says we must check in with Bill before we sing or that we must only accept those words spoken by the Irish.
