Brother Of Black Eyed Peas Member Murdered

The younger brother of Black Eyed Peas member Alp.De.Ap. was fatally shot early Tuesday in the Phillipines. According to authorities, Joven Pineda Deala received a bullet wound to the head while sitting in a car with his girlfriend.

Although no motive has been revealed, Chief Inspector Wilfredo Paulo said that the two accomplices escaped on foot. Deala, who was 21-years-old, died on his way to the hospital.

Alp is the oldest of seven and was born in Angeles City. He is of both Filipino and African-American decent. His mother Christina Pineda raised her children as a single parent.

As one fourth of the super group, Alp saw the group's popularity peak following 2005's triple platinum album 'Monkey Business.' The group is set to release their latest project 'The E.N.D.' later this year.
