Rapper/actress Eve released the single 'Tambourine' back in 2007 and although the song picked up a lot of steam, her album 'Here I Am,' which was also due in 2007, was indefinitely shelved. Blaming the CD's repeated setbacks on her "whole music label situation" with Interscope, Eve is now anticipating a spring or summer release. When asked about her album she says, "It won't be called 'Here I Am' anymore. Now it's called 'Flirt.'" Eve also says that the music will more positive then the original effort. "I had to get in there and put in some upbeat music that I wasn't depressed about," she said regarding the new tracks. "It's fun, it's sexy, it's totally me. Imagine if 'Tambourine' had kids -- that's what the CD sounds like."
Even with the constant rescheduling and the new musical direction of the album, Eve is confident that she won't disappoint. "I am truly, truly sitting on some amazing music."
