The Game Faces $1.5M Civil Suit

The Game may be in danger of losing a $1.5 million lawsuit for allegedly assaulting Shannon Rodrick during a 2007 Basketball game in Los Angeles.

Rodrick, who was coaching his team, The Blazers, to a double-digit blowout against Litem-up, the team Game played for, claims that Game accosted him during a timeout, saying "Your team is garbage...You guys are nothing but a bunch of busters." Game then allegedly punched Rodrick in the face, and threatened to shoot him in the parking lot.

Although The Game has pleaded no contest to the firearm possession in a school zone charge, for which he has served 8 days in jail, the increasingly unlucky Compton rapper failed to respond to the civil suit which Rodrick filed against him for the alleged attack.

In a statement last Friday, Rodrick's lawyer said that her client may stand to win the $1.5 million case by default, due to The Game's failure to respond, despite numerous attempts. The civil case returns to court on April 22.

In the words of the immortal EPMD, Game, you gots to chill.
