Jazmine Sullivan has had three chart-topping singles since the release of her debut album 'Fearless,' and even though she didn't take home a piece of Grammy gold, the singer -- who received five nods, including Best New Artist -- doesn't seem to be rattled by defeat. "I'm not at all upset," she revealed in a recent interview. "Everybody who was nominated pretty much was deserving. I have a long career ahead of me, so this is not my last Grammys, hopefully."
And while Sullivan seems optimistic about her future in music, she doesn't intend to limit herself to just being a recording artist. She's planning to venture into the world of acting and is scheduled to fly to Prague in April to start shooting 'Red Tails,' a film based on the story of the Tuskegee Airmen.
"I play a singer who entertains soldiers," Sullivan said. "I'm really just entertainment for them, but I kind of get a little relationship going with one of them. So that's very exciting.
In addition to working on 'Red Tails,' Sullivan also says she has a TV project lined up, but can't reveal the details just yet.
Sullivan's debut album 'Fearless' is in stores now.
