California-based rapper Coolio has been officially charged with felony drug possession and one count of misdemeanor possession of a smoking device, following his arrest last week.Last Friday, the 45-year-old father of six was headed on a Southwest Airlines flight out of LAX airport. A routine security search uncovered crack cocaine on his person and he was then taken into custody. According to reports, Coolio attempted to prevent the search by grabbing the arm of the security screener administering it. For that action he also faces a misdemeanor battery charge.
Famous for the 1996 Grammy winning hit 'Gangsta's Paradise,' the rapper never managed to record another hit. After stepping out of the spotlight, he re-emerged in 2008 by way of his reality show 'Coolio's Rules.' The show, which premiered on the Oxygen network, chronicles his life as a single parent to his children ranging from ages 15-20.
Coolio is due back in court on April 3 and if convicted faces up to three years in prison.

LMAO @ them posting the absolute most cracked out picture that they could find of Coolio! Awesome. You have to be cracked out if your still walking around with a bolo tie on. Sounds like he is far removed form the first class flights he probably used to take. LMAO @ him booking southwest like the rest of us cheapos. Southwest, where every seat is first class. Why because there is no seating assignment you just plop your ass wherever the hell you feel like it.

"Coolio." What a loser!!! Pathetic excuse for a human being and most importantly, a father! "Gangsta Paradise"? How STUPID! NOT IMPRESSED! And, "rapping" is NOT music. Any fool can talk through a so-called song!

So why don't they publish his real name? I'm sure the court paperwork doesn't go by his street name.

In "96" he won a Grammy, not because of talent, but because the lyrics put it to the man. He never had another one because he has no talent, not even by rapper standards. He deserves more than 3 years for that silly haircut alone. Those who signed him to a reality series deserve at least 3 years.
