Andre Benjamin plays instruments. He is a musician and has a great love for all types of music. He is a very big fan of contemporary jazz artists such as Thelonius monk and miles davis, etc. He has also done duets with Norah Jones, John Legend, and many others you may refer to as musicians while writing the music for those songs. you should really do your homework.

Tricked me again by saying "musician"....when will I learn?

Rappers are in no way musicians. Poets, maybe. But musicians actually play instruments and are not just people who spout off crap.

Do some research before you speak on these so-called "Noise makers". When you make uneducated comments like that, you lose credibility and show how out of touch you really are. Andre 3000 is an incredibly talented MUSICIAN who plays multiple instruments and does not focus on purely RAP music. His last album, The Love Below, was critically acclaimed and considered one of the top 50 albums to ever be released. How dare you judge someone by a generalization that isn't even founded on anything solid!
When the world changes and you get left behind, don't be surprised.

I wonder what key he raps in? Must've taken a lot of voice lessons to be able to talk over sampled music. Maybe just put on some random music and read Dr. Seuss books out loud and get the same effect. Oh...pull your pants low and act like the world owes you something too so you can have the full effect.

Haha, all you people saying he isn't a musician make me laugh. How about you do some research (or have knowledge of current music and understand what OutKast has accomplished) and actually know what you're talking about before making racist, generalized comments. Give me a break, OutKast had two Cd's on Rolling Stones list of greatest/most influential albums -- both in the top 100 if I remember correctly. Also, I know for sure that he at least plays the violin and guitar (as well as paints); and his knowledge of music as well as what he has done for the advancement of rap/hip-hop and his experiments with jazz, funk, soul etc. in his music make him a much more successful MUSICIAN than any of you could dream to be. Oh yeah, on OutKast's last major CD (Speakerboxx/The Love Below) most of his contributions were SUNG, not rapped you prick. Open your ears and minds and gain some knowledge you ignorant morons.
