Lauryn Hill's name doesn't tend to pop up in the headlines as often as her fans would like, but it looks some may be rejoicing very soon. The reclusive rapper/songstress has been booked to perform at the Montreux Jazz Festival, Hill is scheduled to play the Stravinski Auditorium on July 11 following a tribute to Nina Simone, which features Dianne Reeves, Lizz Wright and Angelique Kidjo. The status of Hill's music career has remained a mystery to most her through the years, in 2004 it was reported that she was working on a solo album but no other details have been released since. Her last noted public performance dates back to August 2007 where she did a two hour set in the Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn, NY.
