According to The Smoking Gun, T.I. protege/goon, Alfamega, was an informant for the Drug Enforcement Administration.
The site alleges the Grand Hustle artist made a plea bargain deal in order to ease his sentence for a 1995 gun charge. The Smoking Gun did a background check on Alfamega's birth name, Cedric Zellars, and obtained legal documents stating that he appeared as a witness against a heroin trafficker and several others, in exchange for cutting his sentence to 18 months from 110.
The expose on TSG claims Zellars "during his cooperation against [known heroin dealer] Baaqar, Zellars met with a DEA agent and a federal prosecutor, and subsequently testified at trial.
Alfamega's debut 'I Am Alfamega' is nowhere to be found on Atlantic's release schedule.
