DMX Released From Jail, Working on Christian TV Show

DMX was released from Arizona's Maricopa County Jail yesterday afternoon (May 13) after spending over 90 days in the facility for animal cruelty, drug and fraud related charges. Originally sentenced to 90 days in jail, the Yonkers native's stay was prolonged after an alleged altercation with a corrections officer.

In an interview conducted during his incarceration, DMX spoke of plans to begin a Christian ministry once he left the Arizona facility. "I'm going to start a TV show called Pain and Perseverance, it's about how I can reach people that the average person can't reach because I'm grounded," X said.

Reports surfaced back in April that following his release from jail X would join the next cast of 'Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew.' Reps for the troubled rapper have since denied the claims, stating the reports to be false.

Let's see... R-Kelly marries an underaged 15-year-old Aaliyah. A few years later R-Kelly supposedly becomes born again. A few years later R-Kelly is back to sexually assaulting little girls and being unrepentant about it. Yeah, but I hope DMX is sincere and gets his act together.

I hope the man did find God in jail, but is he saying he's already made six gospel albums? How could anybody believe him, and he wants to step into the pulpit, right off the bat? If he really wants to serve God, let him start in a soup kitchen, setting up chairs for Church service, sweeping the Church steps; if he's not willing to be a servant, he'll never be a good Pastor.

While I personally find Joel Osteen shallow, I won't condemn him, but when pressed on secular shows for an answer to say, a 9/11, he has no answers though & I find that disturbing. On the other hand there's a Catholic Priest named Jonathan Morris that always has an answer for the hope within him. (Fox News contributor)
I wish I knew a Catholic that was like him! All American(& worldwide, for that matter)Christians need revival.

I wish him well. One needs to crawl before he can walk. The pulpit and making gospel music is not what the Lords orders one to do. One needs to go and preach the gospel..., one needs to prepare him/herself to be a lamb among wolves whereby your worst critics are your family, then your so-called friends, then your co-workers. Contrary to what Brother Joel Osteen preaches, God is not an ATM machine and one's preaching is not intended to make people feel good but to repent. It's simple as that. I wish both of them well.

Jesus didn't come to glorify the rich and powerful, he came for the weak, the poor in spirit and material wealth. That people proclaim Him as lord and master when they are down on their luck is the real testament and miracle. He can work in YOUR life, and He is the only one anyone really has when all of the chips are down. We need Him more than ever now in this troubled world.
