Even though rapper T.I. is currently "unavailable," he is still a much sought after entity. According to reports, the animal rights group, PETA, wants the Atlanta native to pose nude for their 'I'd Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur' campaign. "We're asking T.I. to use his fame and his experiences to bare the truth about the fur industry by baring his skin," said PETA Executive Vice President, Tracy Reiman.Aside from releasing a statement, the organization also tried the pin pal approach. "We read that you looked to Martha Stewart for advice on how to pass your prison time," read the letter sent to Tip while he is in prison. "Did you know that she agreed to narrate an anti-fur public service announcement for PETA because she experienced firsthand what it is like for the millions of minks, rabbits, and other animals who are confined to filthy sheds on fur farms?
"But unlike inmates, who are freed when they finish their sentences, these animals are beaten, have their necks broken, are electrocuted, and are often skinned alive for their fur. We hope that you'll follow Martha's compassionate example and become involved with our anti-fur efforts."
The 28-year-old is currently serving a 366-day sentence at the Forrest City Federal Correctional Institution in Arkansas. He was busted for purchasing illegal firearms in 2007 just hours shy of his performance at the BET Hip-Hop Awards. In addition to jail time, Tip also clocked 1,000 hours of community service. Upon his release the father of six will be placed on 2-months of house arrest and pay fines totaling $100,000.
PETA is most commonly known for their aggressive tactics to stop people from wearing fur. In 2006 two members of the company placed the winning bid for a charity dinner date with Beyonce. Strapped with a hidden camera, the women confronted the R&B star for her use of fur in her House of Dereon clothing line, before being escorted from the restaurant.
No word yet if Tip is interested in taking PETA up on their offer.

If the picture I saw on the net is any indication, I'd say with his thick pubic bush, he'd make a great spokesperson for NOT taking animals fur!

i hope he doesn't do it. i hate when i see celebs in support of peta. i still can't get over their 2003 ad, holocaust on your plate or their 2005 slavery exhibit. i'm all for animal rights but this was just exploitative and unneccessary. what kind of people would trivialize such tragic events? how are they apologizing for holocaust on your plate and then turn around with a slavery exhibit? i understand that animals are mistreated everyday and they need to be protected, but it doesn't take a genius to figure out that comparing the brutality of oppressed people to animals is completely offensive. AT THE END OF THE DAY WE ARE PEOPLE AND WE NEED TO TAKE CARE OF OUR OWN KIND FIRST. I WILL NEVER SUPPORT PETA!!
