Beyonce had some very special guests in attendance at her concert in Washington D.C. on Wednesday: First Lady Michelle Obama and her daughters Malia and Sasha. While the President was busy talking about healthcare for an ABC interview, his wife and tween girls were at the Verizon Center with some friends from Chicago and even a few White House staffers. It's by now publicly known that the Obama family are fans of Beyonce. The superstar singer performed for Barack and Michelle during their first dance on inauguration night, as well as other inauguration events in January. During the concert on Wednesday, Beyonce dedicated 'Single Ladies' to the young Obama girls, telling the crowd, "This is for Sasha and Malia - and all my single ladies!" Afterward, the First Lady thanked Beyonce personally for being such a positive role model.
"She told me she was very happy that her girls have someone like me to look up to," Beyonce told Vogue Magazine. "I'm like, 'Oh, my God.' You have to feel fortunate to be one of the people whom parents don't mind their children looking up to."
The President wasn't entirely absent from the concert. Apparently Beyonce has been touting a video montage at her shows that includes footage of Obama aping the famous "hand dance" from the 'Single Ladies' video. Thankfully, he opted not to wear the unitard.

This president has taken more vacations, been on t.v. partied with celebs more then any other president and I thought Clinton would be hard to beat. When does this man work????

I could not agree more with you. Not to mention most of us can not afford to do much anymore with the economy being so bad. One would think our fearless leader would be more conservative of his spending.

About the Obama partying and not working comment----
the article says that his wife and daughters went to the concert, not him. I'm gonna take a wild guess and say he was WORKING. LOL
there's nothing wrong with his family enjoying themselves.
There's no rule that states that when you become president you have to be boring. he has a stressful job- give him a break people-jeez.

Stop hating....You people (LOL) forget how much he has accomplished. At least we know where he is at and what he is working on. Unlike Bush - the absentee/missing President.

What you fail to realize is that Barack Obama is an extremely popular President unlike our last one who spent over a third of his presidency back home in Texas. Naturally the media will report on whatever he and his family goes out to do because the majority of America happens to be fascinated with the Obama’s.
The Obama Family embodies the American dream and regular everyday people happen to look up to them. If they choose to go out especially in D.C. the city that they now call home, so be it. Everyone deserves to be happy and live their life the way that they choose to. It sounds like we have a lot of folks out there that are still bitter and looking to scrutinize everything that this man and his family do.
More power to the Obama's, finally a family in the Whitehouse that we all can be proud of!

I think it is great that at least one black family in america gets to live the american dream.Have fun obamas!!!!

The Obamas need a night on the town. It's not easy destroying a country and turning the most powerful country in the world into a third world country. I'm surprised they went to the Beyonce show in D.C. She will be here in Dallas next week they should have just taken airforce one over.

One Black family in america? lest we forget Our Prez in of mixed race number one, and as for ONLY 1 Black family having fun living the american dream? what a biased comment, I happen to personally know many who ARE not only living it, but rewriting it! through education, dedication and perserverance.
Education being the operative word here!

Um, yeah I am going to have to agree that TMY818 and LUC923 are most certainly drinkin that HATER-AIDE.
Here's what I have to say:
The Obamas are popular so they wil always be in the spotlight, Sasha and Malia deserve to go to a Beyonce concert...and last but not least when you complain about the economy please keep in mind that Obama didnt get us into this mess but he was put in office to get us out.
